Welcome to The Watson Academy!
The Watson Academy is a kid-focused center located in the heart of Kennesaw, Ga. The various programs offered at The Watson Academy are specifically designed for young people who have a desire to learn the ins and outs of acting for television, film, and creative arts.
Our mission is to provide kids with all of the essentials they'll need to pursue a professional career in the arts.
MEDIA PROGRAM FEATURES
- Maximum of 10 in-person students total in each program
- Direct interaction with & training by Emmy Award winner Michelle Watson and her dedicated staff
- We offer dynamic programs catered to the skill level of each individual student in a variety of subject matters including: video techniques, acting, editing, sound recording, drone photography, studio photography, lighting, directing, monologues, acting for commercials, voice-over, film scene study and more!
- Interactive activities including On-Camera Test Tapings and Short Films
- Additional Skills Taught: Confidence Building, Audition Etiquette, Headshots and more!
Our Schedule
Each of our class sessions are progressive, however each session is designed so that students can choose any or all of the sessions that we offer without missing a beat!
Center Opens: 9:00am to 1pm M-F
Camp Hours: 9:00am to 1pm

Acting Classes |
This hands-on training will teach students the fundamentals of acting for TV, Film, voice-over recording, and the creative and technical demands of telling a story thru the camera.
Every Sunday (10:00am for Pre-Teens)
After-School Film Club |

This after-school program will teach students the fundamentals of filmmaking, photography, acting and the creative and technical demands of telling a story thru the use of moving images. Students will learn how to direct, produce, and edit their own videos.
Every Tuesday (3:00pm to 5:00pm)

Toddler Read and Play |
Toddler Time
An interactive, engaging based experience that brings stories to life through finger puppetry, crafts, and themed goodie bags. All designed to keep children engaged while learning through play!
